African Center for Youth Development, Education and Advocacy Initiative Announces Strategic Partnership with Africa Teachers Development Fund (ATDF) For the 5th Future of Education in Africa Conference 2026

Abuja, Nigeria | Geneva, Switzerland | June 2026

The African Center for Youth Development, Education and Advocacy Initiative (ACYDEAI), convener of the 5th Annual Transnational Future of Education in Africa Conference (FEIA 2026), is pleased to announce the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with the Africa Teachers Development Fund (ATDF).

The partnership establishes a collaborative framework aimed at strengthening stakeholder engagement, promoting educational dialogue, and enhancing continental participation in the Future of Education in Africa Conference scheduled to hold in Kampala, Uganda, from 12–13 November 2026.

Under the theme, “The Future African Workforce: Education at the Intersection of AfCFTA, Innovation, and Employment,” the conference will convene policymakers, educators, researchers, youth leaders, development partners, and private sector stakeholders to explore innovative solutions for Africa’s evolving educational landscape.

According to the Memorandum of Understanding signed by both institutions, ATDF will support the conference primarily through stakeholder mobilization, strategic engagement, awareness creation, and facilitating participation from its extensive educational networks across Africa and beyond. The agreement emphasizes collaboration in promoting teacher development initiatives aligned with continental educational priorities.

Speaking on the partnership, Tama Monday Yari, Executive Director of ACYDEAI, stated:

“Teachers remain the backbone of Africa’s educational transformation. Our partnership with the Africa Teachers Development Fund reinforces our commitment to ensuring that educators are at the center of conversations shaping the future workforce of the continent. Together, we will strengthen participation, foster collaboration, and contribute meaningfully to Africa’s educational agenda.”

The partnership seeks to:

  • Enhance continental participation in FEIA 2026;
  • Promote strategic engagement among educational stakeholders;
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange and educational collaboration;
  • Strengthen partnerships supporting educational transformation;
  • Advance teacher development initiatives across Africa.

As Africa prepares to harness opportunities presented by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), FEIA 2026 aims to serve as a premier platform for reimagining education systems capable of equipping young Africans with the competencies required for the future of work.

The partnership between ACYDEAI and ATDF marks another important milestone in building a broad coalition of institutions committed to transforming education across the continent.
